Graham Day

Today as you all know is Graham day, a day that isn't a day to get mistaken with my Graham birthday which is July 6th. Graham day is a totally separate occasion ... it's a world famous annual event held in the Lithuanian region of Gramasauko, named after a heroic chieftain called Graham Asauko the Gruesome ... he achieved his greatness by defeating a tribe of Gordon's who attempted to take over the area by beating 1,000 Gordon's in hand to hand deadly thumb war combat ...

To this day Graham's from all over the world congregate and celebrate their great namesake and greet each other in the traditional manner of the Grahamada (kind of similar to the Lambada but instead of dancing they waggle their thumbs at each other) ... Many modern day Graham's have been to this momentous occasion throughout the centuries, Alexander Graham Bell, Graham Gooch, Graham Henry, Graham Greene, George Graham, Billy Graham and of course Golden Graham's ...

Unfortunately I haven't as yet made the trip to Gramasauko but in my own way I celebrate holding my hands up to the air at the sacred Graham time of 6am and waggle my thumbs and close my eyes chanting, "Graham, Graham, together standing tall, shoulder to shoulder to answer Graham's call" ...
